Josep Maria Bartomeu re-elected as Barcelona president

After a successful one year spell as Barcelona president since the resignation of Sandro Rosell, Josep Maria Bartomeu has been re-elected against all odds ahead of Joan Laporta to Be the Barcelona's club president.

The 52-year-old proved himself worthy last season, when he was at the realm of affairs as the club reached greater heights but he needs to keep up the good work in his second reign at Nou Camp.

Thou this wasn't the change many hoped for, but he emerged president on saturday night after the votes where counted, leading the favourite Joan Laporta by a high margin.

Laporta was seen as the man for the seat, But the turn around of event last season when Barca picked up from their poor winter performance and went straight to winning the treble gave him an approval from many. Many believe he's the man to take the club forward for the next six years.

Laporta's campaign was sorely on signing Paul Pogba and maintaining good relationship with Lionel Messi while Bartomeu has the policy of if "it Ain't broke don't fix it" and it was enough to win the day.

Bartomeu's greatest challenge now is to restore the club values which are;
Giving greater emphasis to La Masia, the youth teams and local talent,
Making sure ties with qatar are cut after the contract expires 2016,
Avoiding legal issues to take the club into an exciting era,
And finally ensuring Messi remains at the club for the rest of his career.
