Manchester United prefers to let De Gea go for free next summer to allowing him force a move to madrid this summer

Manchester United would rather let De Gea go for free transfer next summer than to allow him force a move to Real Madrid this transfer season.

Manchester United has made it clear they wont be pushed against their will by any player, and stated that De Gea will only exchange sides to Real Madrid if and only if Sergio Ramos is included in the deal. But it seems unlikely to happen.
Rafa Benitez has already given Ramos the captain band and has made it clear he's going nowhere even thou the player wants to leave,

The Guardian reports there is still chance of a deal being strike at Old Trafford before the end of this transfer window.

United fans are optimistic that Ed Woodward will magically deliver another fantastic world class player before the window closes.

Manchester United further claims they now have the financial power to defend themselves, they are no push overs in the Transfer Market and can't be forced to surrender their best players to clubs like Madrid.
