Manchester United bid £30million for Sergio Ramos

It would appear that Manchester United are beginning to make some serious moves in the transfer market.

So far, Louis van Gaal has brought in Dutch attacker Memphis Depay as United look to build on fourth place in the Premier League last season.

But, United are expected to spend very big this summer, as they look to close the gap on the Premier League title challengers and prepare for another crack at the Champions League.

Ian Herbert of The Independent confirms on Wednesday evening that Manchester United have bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

Many Manchester United supporters are sceptical whether Ramos is simply looking for a better deal at the Bernabeu but it looks like the Premier League side are serious about their interest in the Spanish defender.

A bid of just over 30 million pounds is unlikely to sway Real Madrid, but it will surely help in the ongoing negotiations for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

Whilst Ramos would be a huge improvement in defence, Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin would also add real class to the middle of the park in Louis van Gaal’s side.

Jeremy Wilson in the Daily Telegraph confirms that Manchester United have joined Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in registering their interest in Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin.

With the likes of Paul Pogba and Bastian Schweinsteiger most likely out of reach, Schneiderlin looks like a very attainable target for Manchester United…
