Summary of 2015 summer transfer for English premier league Clubs

The 2015 summer football transfer is done and dusted, and we are thinking of giving you a summary Highlights of how some great teams fared in the transfer market.


So far, The English premier League are the top spenders in this 2015 summer transfer, spending a whooping sum of £897.7 million


A total of 161 players switched sides to and fro clubs in the English premier league
32 of them were free transfers 25 of them were loan signings And the remaining 104 were purchases.

Manchester City was on top of the spending list with a total sum of £154.2 million where most of Manchester City's spending came from two players kevin De Bryune whom they spent a whooping sum of £54.5 million to Wolfsburg and Raheem Sterling whom the coughed out £49 million to make Liverpool let go of the player.

Manchester United came second on the premier league top spenders table with £115.3 million, signing a total number of six key players Romero, Matteo, Depay, Schweinstiger, Schneiderlin and Martial.

Liverpool spent £88 million, buying almost a new squad and selling one of their most priced asset to their title rivals Manchester City.

Chelsea spent £73.3 million buying 5 key players Pedro, Begovic Falcao, kenedy, baba and 4 key players departed the club.

Arsenal were among the least spenders, spending only £13 million and making only one major key signing Petr Cech, with no new out field players. Although big names were linked but nothing happened.

Best buying teams

Manchester City have been projected as the team that made the best buy, as they made a good use of their money to acquire some key youth players like De Bryune and Sterling, they also snatched Otamendi and twisted Fabian Delph's thinking.

Manchester United also made good use of their money and equipped their midfield with the acquisition of Schneiderlin and Schweinstiger. They also managed to keep De Gea but the big question is what does the future hold for him? Will he sign a new contract?

Chelsea also made a some good signing and was among the clubs that humiliated manchester United as they snatched Pedro.
