Rafeal to fly out to Lyon for a scheduled transfer medical test tomorrow

Rafael da Silva's transfer from Manchester United has been the most quiet and somehow unnoticed this summer. The Brazilian has fallen out of favor under management of Louis van Gaal and despite being a loved by many fans, his exit is whispering away.

Rafael lacks the fitness to hold and improve his form to impress Van Gaal, and he has kept him below every other defender in his United squad, with the acquisition of   Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia being preferred ahead of him, this meant leaving Old Trafford could be the best option for Rafael. Indeed, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are also both ahead of Rafael in the right back, and even Paddy McNair will be a preferred option.

Rafeal arrived at Old Trafford with his Twin brother Fabio in 2008, Rafeal gave fans some thrilling memories but injuries hindered his growth and perfomance.

L'Equipe, a French based news paper reported in their Sunday edition that Rafeal will be flying out to Lyon today, to have a medical on monday for his Lyon switch. This now means two United players will be leaving this week to join French clubs, Rafeal arrived as a low cost player but gave much service but Di Maria who cost a great deal was a disappointment.
