Summary of Robin Van Persie's premier league career, this is how he'llbe remembered

Van Persie moved to Old Trafford from Arsenal in 2012 and helped United win its 20th league title with a heart warming HAT-TRICK against Aston villa at Old Trafford. His second goal of the day was described as " the goal of the century" by United Ex hero Manager Sir Alex Ferguson
, it was a wonderful volley from Wayne Rooney’s long pass.

Van Persie played an important role in United for their 2012/13 Premier League win
Van Persie proved Ferguson right in a fantastic style, winning the Premier League golden boot with 26 goals, but after that emphatic first season, his form dramatically declined. Ferguson’s retirement came as a shock and it affected him deeply, of which his team mate Rio Ferdinand later confirmed it.

“it hit Robin more than any of us,” were his words on MUTV. “He has been here just for one year, tasted success and yearned for more. Now you can see he's the most affected at the time than anyone else it hit him harder than anyone else.”

The injury problems that plagued Van Persie in early years of his career returned and his performances dwindled under David Moyes or may be Moyes' Tactics never favoured him. The Dutch international had moved ahead of Wayne Rooney in the pecking order in  2012/13, but his influence went down and his goal tally in all competitions decelerated from 30 goals in 48 appearances to 18 in 28 in the following season. Poor?

Van Persie's ManUnited transfer followed a wonderful 2011/12 season with Arsenal.
Van Persie never felt comfortable in Moyes’ system – and he voiced out his frustration after a shocking Champions League defeat at Olympiacos in February. "My team mates are sometimes occupying the spaces I'm supposed to play in,” he told Dutch TV reporter, after failing to fit in at the top of a 4-2-3-1 formation. “That forces me to adjust my game… I think that's a shame."

All didn't go down well for Van Persie, and a knee limited him to six more games in 2013/14 before Moyes’ departure.

The arrival of his international manager and fellow country man Louis van Gaal seemed to change things– especially after his sensational performance at the WorldCup with four-goal contribution to the Netherlands’ World Cup campaign in Brazil – but Van Persie’s decline showed no sign of change and he was granted no special treatment by his manager as he found himself dropping down the Old Trafford pecking order.

Robin van Persie has never reached the high marks he had set in his first season at United
His total of just 10 goals in 29 appearances last season was his lowest in the last 5 seasons, his goal tally totaled 10 goals in 29 appearances and looking at the stats highlights his decline has been worse. As well his low numbers of goal scoring, assists and appearances,  in 2012/13 season Van Persie averaged  a total of 3.7 shots per game and 1.9 key passes per game but this stat has fallen to 2.8 shots per game, and 1 key pass per game.

Despite his dramatic grace to grass form and an early career which was faulted by fitness problems, Van Persie deserves to be held in high places and remembered as one of the Premier League’s best ever strikers. At his best, he was good, combining grace, poise and impeccable control with a lethal presence in the box and a ruthless left-foot.

Even thou injuries limited him to only two seasons in 11 that he made 30 or more Premier League appearances, his time with Arsenal and ManUnited still yielded a total of 144 premier league goals in 280 games.

Van Persie's stats has put him among the league's top strikers
Of list of players whom have scored over 100 goals in the English Premier League, only Thierry Henry, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright beat Van Persie’s goals-per-game ratio of 0.51.

As talented as he is talent, Van Persie is leaving England with only one Premier League winner's medal adding that to the FA Cup he won with Arsenal in 2005, he has only two winners Medal in England

His two best seasons were 2011/201 and 212/2013 and those were the only seasons he played injury free. Which means he missed over a third of his ManUnited and Arsenal league game in his career

his shock move to Old Trafford which was Arsenal's rivals made him look like a betrayer in north London, but The dutchman's place in United’s hall of fame is assured, despite his poor recent form.

Yes may be we can say Van Persie never truly fulfilled his potential in the Premier League, he has written his name in history as one of the best strikers that played the English premier league. I can always say He's better than you think he is, he had a big an impact as anyone i can imagine at Old Trafford
