Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is poised to seal a loan move toRoma.

With the Arrival of Petr Cech from Arsenal, the Poland international is no doubt rated as the no 3 keeper in Wenger's squad and is allowed to leave if he wants to

Wojceich Szczesny  lost his place to David Ospina in the second half of the 2014-15 Premier League campaign, and was only being used to play FA cup matches as he featured in five of Arsenal's six games as they recorded back-to-back FA Cup triumphs.

Petr Cech left Chelsea for around £11 million to sign for Arsenal earlier this summer, a deal seen by many as a turn around for Arsenal in their bid to challenge for the title since after winning it in 2004.

Wenger saw Szczesny as the man to be axed ahead of the new campaign, leaving Ospina and Damian Martinez to pose a competition for Cech.

The Gunners boss believes 22-year-old Martinez, who signed from Independiente in 2010, has a bright future at the club.

He even included the Argentine when he claimed last season that there were three "world class" goalkeepers on the books at the Emirates, a stance he re-affirmed last week ahead of the Londoners' participation in the Asia Trophy.

Rumors in italy claim that Roma will pay €400,000 (£281,000) for the loan move, with an option to make the deal permanent.

Szczesny did not make further premier league appearance after being caught smoking in the changing rooms following defeat to Southampton, thou Wenger denied that was the reason he was dropped.
