Transfer rumours: Man United offer €50million for Lazio star FelipeAnderson

Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport a few days ago dropped a bit of a transfer bomb when they claimed that Manchester United were holding an offer of €50m for Lazio star Felipe Anderson. It wasn't abundantly clear
if they'd already tabled that offer or were set to, perhaps Gazzetta meant that the amount had been put forward informally, but regardless of the nuances... it was a huge amount of money for the player.
Gazzetta have a record of talking Felipe Anderson up, they've compared him to all of the attacking greats of world football and described him as the perfect footballer, taking the best from others players such as Lionel Messi. Gushing stuff, over the top at times.
After the €50m claim, Gazzetta went quiet for a few days on the issue, which may be considred slightly odd given how big the story was. On Saturday they covered Anderson again but with no mention of the Manchester United bid. It was stated the Brazilian could be tempted by a big money move... but that Lazio wouldn't consider selling for less than €80m.
For a club to pay €80m would be ridiculous, Anderson hasn't shown that he's worth such an amount and although he's obviously very talented, the 22 year old hasn't even made his senior international debut yet. It appears someone is encouraging Gazzetta to hype up Anderson, his value, and interest in him.
