RealMadrid's Iker Casillas to join Porto

According to Spanish TV’s TVE on Monday, Iker Casillas could be set to move to FC Porto for the imminent 2015-16 season.

TVE boldly report that Casillas “will play” for the Dragons next season, bringing to a close his 25-year career at Real Madrid.

Casillas’s exit from the Santiago Bernabeu would surprise few. Last season, the Spanish stopper appeared to suffer a very public breakdown in relations with the club, which was clear to see as the Los Blancos fans heckled their goalie in several matches in La Liga.

Now, it appears that Casillas’s departure is almost certain, as TVE report that Real Madrid have “received a written offer” from Porto.

If true, Porto will have edged out Roma and PSG for Casillas’s signature.

Casillas’s move from Real has also been mentioned as a prerequisite for David De Gea to complete his move from Man United to the Bernabeu.

De Gea, meanwhile, remains stuck at Manchester United, and on Monday the stopper arrived at Carrington for day one of pre-season training.

Meanwhile, the big story from Spanish paper AS on Monday was that Man United are refusing to sell David De Gea to Real Madrid, unless they sign Sergio Ramos in return.
