Manchester United Full back Rafeal on his way out of Old Trafford

Manchester United defender Rafael is set to leave Old Trafford with links from Galatasaray and Italian Seria-A clubs according to the Manchester Evening News.

Reds Devils manager Louis van Gaal has shown that the Brazilian is not part of his United plan and he is ready to end the defender's seven and a half year career in Manchester.

Rafael and his twin brother Fabio signed from Fluminense in January 2008 and were seen as United’s future full backs. Although Fabio made Sir Alex Ferguson’s 2011 Champions League final XI against Barcelona he was sold to Cardiff City in January 2014 by ex Red Devils boss David Moyes.

It is understood that Rafael is wanted by Turkish side Galatasaray while Italian Serie A clubs Napoli and Fiorentina are also keen on the South American’s services.

Manchester United are reported to be looking for a fee of around £8million for Rafael who only has one year left on his current contract at Old Trafford.
