Barcelona wins European Club of the year

After Winning the treble last football season, Champions League, La Liga and the Copa del Rey Barcelona have been Awarded with the accolade in Monday's ceremony

Barcelona are crowned with the Club of the Year after they ensured a treble trophy/Silverware in 2014-15 by the European Club Association (ECA).

Last season was Luis Enrique's first season at Barcelona, and he made it a season to remember as took the Catalans up the ladder of Champions League, La Liga and Copa del Rey and stayed on top till the season ended.

Barcelona could have made it sextet if and only if they didn't loose the Spanish Cup to Athletic Bilbao but that still didn't blow their chances of winning the ECA award on monday night at Geneva.

Dnipro which were runners up in the last season Europa League were also awarded the Best Sporting Progress award for getting to the final of the Europa League competition as they were seen as the under dogs.

Arsenal grabbed the Best Community and Social Responsibility award due to their effort in helping the London community to tackle the growing level of youth employment.

The final ECA award for the year was Best Achievement and it went to Levadia Tallinn an Estonian club for their unique scheme “Together we move” aimed at improving accessibility of stadium for fans who require assistance dogs.
