Liverpool to make Surprise move for Chicharito

Liverpool have recently turned their attention towards Manchester United star Javier Hernandez(Chicharito), according to the Sunday Express.

Hernandez, who went on loan to Real Madrid last season, is seen as a surplus to Old Trafford requirements.

Both teams haven't made any transaction for almost half a  century, and the transfer would sound strange to the ears of Merseyside supporters.

Sevilla were seen as the favorites to sign the The 27-year-old Mexican international, but Brendan Rodgers recent interest has changed everything. The Anfield boss however, sees Chicarito as a low price acquisition.

Hernandez may not approve his transfer to Liverpool, as he's in need of playing time. He said: “I want to join a team where I can play and get minutes."

“If I can do that at Manchester United or another club, I’ll be happy. First-team football is my priority over anything else.”

Hernandez's reputation as a goal poacher was earned during his time at United, scoring 59 goals in 154 appearances, his debut season resulted to 20 of those goals.

Rumors have it that MLS outfit Orlando are also interested in the player and are ready for the transfer competition from the Reds after boss Flavio Augusto da Silva made comments confirming their interest on the 27-year-old.

"Regarding Chicharito, of course he's a great player that every club in the world would love to have and we'd love the chance to have him," Da Silva told the Orlando Sentinel.

"Right now we don't have anything done, and you know during the process of negotiations the less we talk about it the better.

“So we'll see if there is a possibility and then we'll move forward.

“We hope in one or two weeks to be ready to talk about Chicharito in a different way."
