Inter on the verge of signing Manchester City striker Stefan Jovetic

Inter Milan are close to completing the signing of Manchester City forward Steven Jovetic according to Sky Italia Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

There have been Speculations That an agreement between have been reached by the two clubs and Inter will sign the 25-year old initially on loan with an obligation to buy for £11million plus performance related bonuses.

The Montenegrin international always looked likely to leave English football this summer after being left out of Manuel Pellegrini’s Champions League squad earlier last season to make room for Wilfried Bony.

The forward has attracted interest from many clubs accross Europe including Champions league finalists Juventus, but it looks as though the player is set to link up with former Man City boss Roberto Mancini.

Steven Jovetic is not the only striker who is rumoured to be swapping Manchester for Italy this summer, with reports suggesting Edin Dzeko is closing in on a move to Serie A side Roma.

The departure of two of their strikers may cause Manchester City to go back into the transfer market during the transfer window. The Blues have already captured the signing of former Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling who completed a staggering £49million move to the Etihad earlier this month.
