Frank Lampard's MLS deput Delayed by injury


Frank Lampard has been ruled out of Sunday's match against Toronto FC at Yankee Stadium due to a calf strain he picked up in training on Friday.

The Ex Chelsea player and England international, who was to make his MLS debut this Sunday, expressed his heartbreak with the setback.

He said He's hugely disappointed to miss out on Sunday's game, which He has been looking forward to, he told NYCFC.com. "He has been great in training and grown to love working with the squad. Unfortunately a small calf strain injury struck during a session.

The medical team has advised it needs a few days rest for it to heal fully, but he'll be back in full training next week.

The blues(Chelsea) all time highest goalscorer, who featured for Manchester City for 2014/2015 premier league season could now make his MLS debut against New England Revolution next week Sunday.
