Officila: Liverpool have confirmed £29million signing of RobertoFirmino subject to medicals

Liverpool officially confirmed the £29m signing of Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino whilst the sun was rising in England on Wednesday morning
.

Despite the deal still being subject to a medical which won’t take place until Brazil are eliminated from the Copa America, Firmino will become Liverpool’s most expensive signing of all time.

The 23 year old Hoffenheim player has put pen to paper on a five year contract reportedly worth £100,000 a week and will link up with fellow Brazilians Philippe Coutinho and Lucas Leiva at Anfield.

Brendan Rodgers has struggled in the transfer market since joining in 2012 but Reds fans up at the crack of dawn were celebrating Roberto Firmino’s signing on social media.

Liverpool chief executive Ian Ayre flew to Chile last night to complete the deal with Roberto Firmino, fighting off reported interest from Manchester United.
