Gonzalo Higuain has a releases clause in his contract worth almost €95 million, his club Napoli have confirmed.
Argentina international Higuain has been linked with a move since Napoli's failure to qualify for the Champions League, with a fee of around €50m mentioned in some reports.
The 27-year-old has been linked with both Arsenal and Manchester City, but a Napoli statement broadcast by Radio Kiss Kiss said the Serie A club would stand firm on the fee.
It added that any club wishing to buy Higuain would have to pay the entire fee would be due in one installment.
Higuain, who has three years left on his contract, scored 18 goals in Serie A last season, taking his total for the Azzurri to 35 in 69 league matches.
