The Chelsea captain has played every minute of the 2014-15 season for the Blues and lifted the trophy on Sunday, having featured throughout the clash with SunderlandJohn Terry became only the second outfield player in Premier League history to win the league title and not miss a single minute of the season after he completed Chelsea’s final match of the campaign againstSunderland at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
The Chelsea skipper led his team throughout the entirety of their title-winning season and equalled the achievement of former Manchester United centre-half Gary Pallister, who was an ever-present during the Premier League’s inaugural season which was played over 42 games.
Terry’s achievement has made a mockery of Rafa Benitez’s claim that he could no longer play two games per week during his tenure at the club, with the Blues captain scoring five goals to aid his team's cause in the league.
A number of other Premier League players have been ever-present throughout the season, with the likes ofLeighton Baines, Martin Skrtel, Roger Johnson and Ledley King also in the elite club, though none of the aforementioned managed to win the Premier League.
Terry lifted the title on Sunday - the fourth Premier League trophy he has won in his career.
