Otamendi wants to leave Valencia, says agent

The 27-year-old's representative insists there is no pre-contract agreement in place with Manchester United but says "several clubs" are keen on the centre-back
Nicolas Otamendi's agent insists the centre-back will do “everything possible” to leave Valencia this summer.

Reports in Argentina have claimed that the 27-year-old has already signed a pre-contract agreement with Manchester United, although the defender’s representative, Eugenio Lopez, denied this in an interview withCadena SER Valencia on Monday.

Otamendi’s agent also indicated that United will need to meet the Argentine’s €50 million release clause in order to secure a deal.

"Nicolas is comfortable with Valencia and the fans but will have an option to improve his career,” said Lopez.

“Jorge Mendes already knows that Nico wants to leave Valencia. Nico will do everything possible to get it, he will do everything possible to leave.

“If there's an offer from a club we consider a top club, and it benefits his family, Nico wants to go.

"There are many discussions with several clubs who want to sign Otamendi.”
