The story was broken by Argentine journalist Hernán Feler, who works for South American media outlet DirecTV.
Hernán Feler should be taken seriously, as he was the journalist who originally broke the news that Arsenal were signing Alexis Sanchez from Barcelona last summer.
Vidal, who turned 28 this week, has been at Juve since July 2011.
The Chilean midfielder is currently under contract in Turin until June 2017.
It’s worth nothing that Vidal, who for several seasons has been linked with a move to Manchester United, was also recently linked with a move to Liverpool by Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.
According to the pink paper, Vidal is now a top target for Liverpool this summer, while the Scudetto champions have already earmarked Vidal’s replacement in Turin.
Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Juve are targetting Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
