Sergio Ramos determined to quit RealMadrid; Manchester United on alert

Another day, another set of headlines in Spanish daily Marca suggesting that it is only a matter of time before Sergio Ramos walks out on Real Madrid to join Manchester United.

The screaming headline on the front page of the paper, next to a picture of Ramos, says “He’s not backing down”.

Doubling down on their belief that Ramos will certainly leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, Marca report that the 29-year-old defender is “determined” to quit Los Blancos, as he’s furious that his Madridismo and professionalism have been doubted.

Marca report that Ramos has “pain in his heart” over his recent treatment at Real Madrid. Moreover, Marca noted Ramos’s decision is “not a question of money… [it has] nothing to do with economics”, as had been suggested in previous claims that the defender was looking for a pay hike at the club.

Marca, however, leave the door ajar for Ramos to eventually perform a u-turn to stay at Real. The paper reports that, from the club’s perspective, they remain “confident that the player will reconsider” his position, to ultimately stay put.

Noticeably, Marca fail to mention Manchester United by name throughout their entire update on Sergio Ramos.
