Manchester United set to offer David De Gea new contract

Manchester United are set to offer goalkeeper  David De Gea a new contract to stay at Old Trafford according to Cadena Cope.

The Spanish shot stopper has been subject of heavy transfer speculation over the last few months and looked set to join Real Madrid a few weeks ago, only for Man United to dig their heels in and insist that any deal for David De Gea must involve Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

The Spanish goalie said that he will have to report for pre-season training with the Red Devils on monday. David De Gea had already arranged his move back to Spain but recent developments have caused the 24 year old to worry that his move may be dragged out even further.

Cadena Cope reports that its likely David De Gea will turn down Man United’s contract offer as his heart is set on a move home to Spain.
