Breaking: Arsenal open talks to sign Barcelona star Pedro

Sources at London claims Arsenal have officially made initial contact with Spanish international Pedro’s representatives over a move to the Emirates this summer.

Reports claim that the Gunners are closely monitoring the 27-year old, who scored six league goals for Barcelona last season in their La Liga-winning campaign.

Despite featuring 35 times in the league for Barcelona 20 of those appearances came as a substitute from the bench as the Spanish internatinal found himself behind the pecking order at Nou Camp with irresistible ‘MSN’ – Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez ahead of him.

The Spaniard, who has won 51 caps for Spain, has been at Nou Camp for his entire career but is understood to be open to a move to the Premier League with Arsenal being an ideal destination for the winger.

Arsenal already posses a rich array of talent on the flanks with German superstar Mesut Ozil and Pedro’s former teammate at Barcelona Alexis Sanchez. If a move to London does materialise it will be interesting to see where Gunners boss Arsene Wenger plays the 27 year old.

Liverpool and Manchester are also thought to be interested in Signing Pedro and are reported to be watching developments closely.
