Wow!
It looked like for much of the evening that Lionel Messi and Barcelona would flounder against Manuel Neuer and a disciplined Bayern Munich defence.
Around the hour mark, with the score 0-0, it even looked like Bayern Munich would perhaps grab a crucial away goal and come away from the Nou Camp with a clean sheet.
Only for Messi to do ridiculous things.
On 77, Messi made it 1-0, beating Neuer from the edge of the box with a fierce drive.
Then, three minutes later Messi made Jerome Boateng and Manuel Neuer look like Sunday League players, making it 2-0 with a delightful finish.
What makes Messi so brilliant is not just how he won this match on his own but how many records he is absolutely shattering.
(Full credit to Cristiano Ronaldo for simply keeping up with Messi, because in this form its getting a little silly….)
