Yaya Toure undergoes scan on his hamstring injury

Yaya Toure is expected to undergo a scan on his hamstring injury after he was subtituted in Manchester City's 3-2 victory over Aston Villa.

Toure came off and was replaced at half-time by Fernandinho, who went on to score City's 89th-minute winner against the FA Cup finalists at the Etihad Stadium.
Manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed his vice-captain's departure was not precautionary and said the club's medical department will assess the 31-year-old to see the extent of the damage.
"Toure had a hamstring problem so he couldn't play the second half," the Chilean said in a news conference. "It is difficult to know today what happened, but it was not a precaution. It was a muscle injury and we will see tomorrow [Sunday] or Monday how bad it is."

Yaya Toure lies injured after suffering an injury during the victory over Aston Villa.

City are already without injured captain Vincent Kompany for at least the next two games while Samir Nasri, Stevan Jovetic and Gael Clichy also sat out the Villa match.
