Transfer talk: Manchester City tables £30million for arsenal's JackWilshere, and other transfer rumours

Manchester City are literally chasing Jack Wilshere.

The rumours are gaining steam and, in many instances, credibility. It's the sweet spot for Transfer Talk, in which anything is possible as the summer window nears.

Despite Arsene Wenger's best efforts to quash any sort of speculation thatJack Wilshere will be swapping the Emirates for the Etihad this summer, talk of a move will not go away.
The Mirror reports that Manchester City are desperate to add more homegrown talent to their squad and are preparing a £30 million bid for the England international.
Wilshere, who still has three years remaining on his Arsenal deal, is just the latest in a long line of Gunners that Man City have approached over the years. If the 23-year-old ends up moving north, it will mean that the Citizens will have spent more than £100 million to bring in the likes of Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Toure, Gael Clichy, Samir Nasri and Bacary Sagna from Wenger's stable.

Pedro next in line

It's not all bad news for Gunners fans, though, with the Express reporting that Wenger's men are leading the race to sign Barcelona's Pedro.
The Spain international has scored 10 goals this season for the Catalan club, despite falling down the pecking order after Luis Suarez's arrival. It's believed that a £24 million bid from Arsenal will be enough to convince Barca to allow the winger to join his former teammate, Alexis Sanchez, in north London, though Manchester United and Inter Milan are both said to be monitoring the situation.
Pedro's arrival could well set off a chain of moves in the transfer window, with Liverpool likely to pounce on Theo Walcott should he find his place threatened by the Spaniard.

There was no stopping Pedro on Tuesday night as the Barcelona forward scored a hat trick in the first half against Huesca.
Pedro has a remarkable record at Barcelona, despite not often attracting the plaudits of his fellow players.

Reading target United flop

The signing of Bebe may well go down in history as Sir Alex Ferguson's worst ever purchase for Manchester United.
The then-United manager had never seen the Portuguese forward in action, but was happy to shell out £7.5 million to bring the Vitoria de Guimaraes player to Old Trafford in a move that Bebe later described as a "joke."
Currently owned by Benfica, but out on loan at Spanish side Cordoba, Bebe continues to make headlines for all the wrong reasons, having recently been caught out partying with three teammates on the eve of a morning training session.
None of the above, however, seems to have put off Championship side Reading, who are keen to make a move for the 24-year-old. According to a report in the Mirror, the Royals will approach Benfica this summer.

- Aston Villa are interested in Chelsea's young gun, Patrick Bamford, according to a report in the Mail. The 21-year-old has scored 19 goals on loan at Middlesbrough this season and recently won the Championship Player of the Year at the Football League Awards.

- According to German football legend Franz Beckenbauer, outgoing Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp is "definitely" an option to replace Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich one day.
- Kevin De Bruyne's agent has revealed he has met with Paris Saint-Germain to discuss a move to the French capital.
- Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez admits that "only God knows" if he will make a permanent move from Manchester United to Real Madrid this summer.
