Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria could miss the opening match of the Premier League campaign after being hit with a hamstring injury in the Copa America final clash against Chile last night.
The Ex Real Madrid star was out of Argentina’s defeat to Chile after just 29 minutes of the game.
Manager Louis Van Gaal had already given The 27 year old a four-week break which means he was already going to miss the Manchester United’s pre-season tour to the United States.
Angel Di Maria’s current injury scare means the wideman could also be missing for the Premier League opening day clash with Tottenham Hotspur on August 8th.
The Argentine international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer with Bayern Munich and PSG though to have a keen interest in signing the player, who only moved to Manchester for £59.7million last summer.
