Manchester City have made a 30 million pound bid for Raheem Sterling, The Mirror report tonight.
The tabloid claim that City have tonight made a verbal offer to Liverpool, which they are set to follow up with a written and formal version.
Liverpool have staunchly insisted that the player will see out his contract at the club, although it recently emerged that a 50 million pound offer would be satisfactory for them to let him leave.
In which case, this offer from City is unlikely to be met with an agreement, and will in all likelihood be the first in a series of bids for the wantaway 20-year old.
Sterling is believed to favour a move to a London club, having grown up in the capital, but Arsenal are keeping quiet for the moment…
