Speculation has been rife over the last few days regarding a potential Petr Cech move from Chelsea to rivals Arsenal.
The 33 year old goalkeeper has reportedly completed an £11m transfer to the Emirates, according to the Daily Mail late on Monday afternoon.
Having joined Chelsea all the way back in 2004, the Czech number one has found himself behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season.
Petr Cech has spoken on numerous occasions of his desire to play regular first team football and Arsenal seems an ideal destination, whereby he can still challenge for honours.
Arsenal keeper David Ospina appears to be closing in on a move to Fenerbahce whilst Wojciech Szczesny will likely stay and fight Cech for the goalkeeper gloves.
Interestingly, after becoming Arsenal’s most expensive goalkeeper, Petr Cech’s very first game for his new club could be against Chelsea in the Community Shield final.
Now we’re just waiting on official confirmation from the clubs to confirm Cech’s London move.
