Manchester City tempt Arsenal with a stunning €41million bid for JackWilshere

Manchester City to Push Through £30million Jack Wilshere Bid Despite Arsenal's Hands Off Warning

Manchester City will test Arsenal's resolve with a £30million summer bid for midfielder Jack Wilshere this summer according to the Mirror.

The Englishman has long been viewed as the future of the Arsenal midfield but a series of lengthy injury spells have stalled his development at the Emirates and despite Arsene Wenger issuing a hands off warning last month, City will pursue him at the end of the season.

City are in the midst of planning a squad overhaul that will see the influx of a number of homegrown talent to satisfy Premier League regulations. This search for English players has also seen them linked to Everton's Ross Barkley and Liverpool contract rebel Raheem Sterling.

Arsenal, meanwhile, hope to extend Wilshere's current deal which expires in 2018 but would prefer to have the 23 year old have a run of games beforehand as he has only recently recovered from injury.

The Gunners' current in form group of Mesut Özil, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey and Francis Coquelin will likely keep Wilshere out of the starting lineup for the six games left to play unless he does some serious impressing or Arsene Wenger decides to rotate.
