The Sun run with an exclusive on Friday morning, with a new transfer rumour regarding Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
According to The Sun, Barcelona are planning a 50 million pound raid on Arsenal to sign Aaron Ramsey.
Whilst The Sun do mention Barcelona’s current “transfer embargo,” they claim Barcelona scouts were at Old Trafford last Sunday to watch Ramsey.
And, Barcelona scouts have apparently watched Ramsey ten times this season with another scouting trip planned next week at Wembley as Arsenal take on Aston Villa in the FA Cup final.
Whilst Barcelona may be on the lookout for a new midfielder this summer, after Xavi announced his departure to Qatar on Thursday, Ramsey has been far from his best this season for Arsenal.
The Welsh midfielder has played much of the season out on the right due to the fine form of Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla.
Perhaps Ramsey is looking for more time in the middle of the park, or is after a new Arsenal deal – it would be a major surprise to see Ramsey sign on for Barcelona, even if the Catalan giants could bring in players right now!
