Manchester United spark Sterling war with £25m bid

Manchester United have made an offer of £25 million pounds for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling.

The Mirror Sport newspaper reports that Louis Van Gaal has already made a move for the much coveted England international and that United’s offer is set to start a bidding war between Europe’s top clubs.

It is thought that Real Madrid and Man City are set to make their own formal offers for the 20 year old, whilst Arsenal and Chelsea have also been linked to the winger.

While it has been made clear that Raheem Sterling does not see his future at Liverpool, there is no indication as to which club the player would prefer to join.

Liverpool would likely use the money received from the Raheem Sterling transfer to launch their own assault at finishing within the top four of the Premier League.

Players such as Danny Ings and James Milner have been heavily linked with a move to the Merseyside club.
