Bayern defender Dante cool with Manchester United interest

German football magazine Kicker report in their issue this week that Bayern Munich defender Dante is aware of reports Manchester United want to buy him. Kicker say they started those reports, or were at least partly responsible, but they reckon Dante isn't too shaken by the situation and is cool with the whole thing.

Dante wants to stay where he is according to the German magazine. His daughter Sophia is said to be settled in a school in Munich and consequently Dante is happy with his life in the city. That he's content off the field means he sees little reason to change things on the field and therefore is likely to stay where he is.
Kicker also explain that Dante's contract ends in June 2017 and given that the player turns 32 this year that will see him close to the end of his career, it would be quite convenient if Bayern Munich would offer him another year or two... perhaps on the back of interest from others.
Manchester United have been linked with Dante previously and that led to the player getting a new Bayern Munich contract, the one he's on now. The Brazilian defender may hope lightening could strike twice, he'd surely have to be fortunate for that to happen this time.
Kicker said last week that Manchester United had put forward a concrete request to Bayern Munich for the player but of all the central defenders in the world, Dante surely wouldn't be one of the most inspiring ones.
