Terry makes our #BPL team of the week with a superb performance

After each round of Premier League fixtures, Sports genuis brings you its Team of the Weekend. Our panel of experts carefully select 11 star performers, along with a manager.

Do you agree or disagree? You can have your say on those picked or overlooked in the comments section at the foot of the article or on Twitter using the hashtag #TOTW.
Goal keeper: schmeichel was undoubtedly outstanding over the weekend, our expert chose him as our NO1 man

Left-back: There's a full house for Aleksandar Kolarov. The Manchester City defender has always been lively going forward but put in a fine shift at the back during the periods in which Villa gave the champions a real going-over.  while also paying tribute to his cute free-kick and assist for Fernandinho's winner. The summary is as follows: "Scores one, sets up another. If you don't attack him, you'll be severely punished. So much quality on the ball.
Centre-back: There's also a lot of love for Everton's John Stones in our TOTW. the 20-year-old hardly gave Wayne Rooney a kick on what was another miserable return to Goodison Park for the Manchester United captain. Not only was Stones calmness personified at the back and diligent in his distribution, he also potted his first-ever Premier League goal with a neat glancing header.

John Terry led Chelsea with poise as they emerged unscathed from Sunday's trip to the Emirates.

Centre-back: "I think this was John Terry's greatest ever performance for me. It was amazing, out of this world." That's not one of our pundits speaking; that's Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho. It's a good job then that a couple of our panelists agreed. Terry was his usual self at the Emirates, the man tasked with carrying out Mourinho's tactical plan to the letter, and he did it superbly.
Right-back: It didn't take long for disharmony to break out and as is always the case in at least one defensive position, we have three suggestions. First up is Burnley's Kieran Trippier, the 24-year-old always gives maximum effort and delivers quality balls into the box on a consistent basis. Hector Bellerin for his magnificent job in shackling Eden Hazard, Chelsea's main danger man at the Emirates. And finally, Marc Albrighton, who was "uncompromising" in his new role. Let's go for Bellerin, eh?
Central midfield: Into the midfield we go and a powerhouse performance from Carlos Sanchez caught the eye of Messrs Marcotti and Mariner. Up against one of the Premier League's best-ever midfielders, the Colombian took a leaf out of Yaya Toure's book and offered 90 minutes full of energy, determination and no little class. His first-ever top-flight goal was neatly taken, too.

Central midfield: Alongside him is another goalscorer, Everton's James McCarthy. The Scot laid down a marker of his intent with a fine opening goal at Goodison Park on Sunday, charging up-field as Everton countered before bundling his way into the box and slotting underneath David De Gea. After that he was excellent, demonstrating he wasn't "intimidated by Fellaini and company.

Right-midfield: Now for some creativity, starting with Gylfi Sigurdsson. He's had a quiet period of late but gave reassuring notice of his class in Swansea's third successive victory at St James' Park. The opposition were poor on their way to a seventh straight defeat, but the Iceland midfielder revelled in the extra space he was afforded, scoring a fine goal and setting up Nelson Oliveira for another.
Left-midfield: On the opposite flank is southampton's Schneiderlin, the in form player was tactical over the weekend helping the team to a 2-2 draw

Graziano Pelle found form after a long goal drought to lead Southampton to a creditable 2-2 draw vs. Spurs.

Striker: The big man is back. After a run of one goal in 16 Premier League games, Graziano Pelle registered a double against Tottenham. It was the first time the Italian has scored more than one in a game since Sunderland were slain 8-0 back in October. If his first owed much to his poaching instincts, the second was a striker's classic towering header. Nicol calls it an "old-fashioned centre-forward display" while Marcotti and Mariner pay tribute to his goals and his attitude given his recent loan spell.
Striker: Pelle's brace was big for Southampton but the double Dame N'Doye dropped for Hull could be worth far, far more. The Senegal striker had been on his own mini-drought of four games but chose a perfect time to get back on the goal trail, tapping in for his first, firing home powerfully for his second and generally being a nuisance all afternoon.
Manager: Our manager of the week as nominated by our team of experts is roberto martinez, after beating UNITED at Goodison park despite having the smaller chunk of possession in the game, Everton trashed UNITED 3-0.
